The municipality of San Rafael is considered a major producer of agricultural products in the Province of Bulacan. Its agricultural lands along the stretch of Angat and Maasim Rivers produce hundreds of tons of vegetables yearly. These products have found its way in large markets in Quezon City and Manila. Aside from the vegetables, farmers have also diversified into fruit trees especially mangoes, swine and poultry production, balut and quail egg production and even dairy cattle.
The six-hectare orchid farm of well known inventor, Mr. Bonifacio Isidro is the source of various types of wildflowers like orchids, catleya and lotus. It is now being exported to other Asian countries.
The Pilipinas Development Corporation in Barangay Banca-banca supplies tilapi fry to aquaculture farmers along the Angat River.
